Dr. Sara Mollins, PsyD, clinical psychologist in New York City

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical.

I believe meaningful therapy starts with feeling genuinely understood—and that acceptance and change can go hand in hand.

My training in school-clinical child psychology shapes the way I understand young people in the context of their whole lives. I have extensive experience collaborating with parents, schools, and other professionals, which allows me to consider what’s happening not only in the therapy room, but at home, at school, and in everyday life.

My work is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with other evidence-based and relational approaches. Therapy shouldn’t feel scripted or one-size-fits-all. I prioritize genuine relationships while offering practical strategies that can be used outside of the therapy room.
